A MAZE OF COMPLAINTS

Here are some reading mazes offering situations where customers decide to complain because of bad service or poor quality.
A reading maze is a story where you decide which action to take until you get to the end.

Before reading:
What can go wrong with customers at an airport / in a hotel / while staying at a campsite / etc. ?
Can you guess what problems the customers in these situations may have?
Try to predict the complaints before reading.

While reading:

Choose two or three of the mazes to read and try to take the best action. Then repeat the mazes and this time follow the bad decisions to see where they lead.

1) Some customers complain at a travel agency

2) A woman complains at a hotel...

3) A russian girl complains on a Tour bus

4) A passenger complains about the food on a transatlantic flight

5) Tourists staying in a camp site complain about the facilities

6) A customer complains to airport staff when his luggage is lost

After reading:

a) Write a summary of the problems in your weblog. How realistic are the problems / solutions that were presented? How would you have handled the problems? Which was the worst problem of the situations you read about?

b) Imagine one of the customers has written a letter of complaint. Write a reply to him / her apologising, and offering a solution to the problem. E-mail the letter to your teacher
